Introducing the Mini Goat - our most compact and affordable paintbox.
Hand crafted from hewn African Mahogany in our Palo Alto workshop, the “Kid” sports a smaller and lighter footprint than our flagship Alpine Goat. Exterior dimensions are 12 by 9 inches, similar in size to an Edge Pro-Gear Medium paintbox, but weighing significantly less.
Ideal for painting on the go, the Mini Goat is small and light enough to fit easily in your day pack, with our without a tripod. The palette is large and deep enough to pre-load with oil paint before you head out. The Goat Grip panel holder supports paintings 16” in width and 12” vertically, but when painting small (6” by 10” or less), you may actually close the Mini Goat with your painting safely held inside above the palette mixing area; this comes in handy when the weather changes and you must pack up quickly, or space is too tight for a wet panel carrier.
Solid Wood Frame: African Mahogany with strong bevelled box joints
Wood Palette Type: African Mahogany Ply with Poplar core. Ample room to preload and organize your paints before heading out. The beautiful wood palette is finished with a smooth Danish Oil and Polyurethane blend that’s ready to mix paint on and easy to clean.
Integrated Utility Trays: Fold out in a second when setting up, and fold close just as fast when it’s time to go, leaving the mess on the inside and clean and tidy on the outside.
Two strands of beaded elastic in each tray provides the easiest and most secure method of holding and keeping your wet paintbrushes separated.
Goat Grip painting panel holder - Patent pending Goat Grip allows you to effortlessly insert or swap paintings using just one hand, yet securely holds your painting with multiple spring loaded contact points even when bumped or blown by strong winds.
Clear View – The slim panel holder design ensures an unobstructed view of your subject, even when painting in small sized formats.
Integrated Arca-Swiss Plate – Features an integrated low-profile Arca-Swiss tripod plate for quick and secure tripod setup, as well as Universal mount for other tripod types.
